add tiktok research to chatgpt.

add searchtok as a plugin, then @ it in any chat to research tiktok and reels.

you'll need

chatgpt on the web. custom mcp servers don't work in the phone app.
openai lists pro (tools that only read, which is all searchtok uses), business, enterprise and edu. on business, only admins and owners can add one. [GO AND PLUS: not on openai's list]
a searchtok plan. you pick one when you sign in.

open plugins
in chatgpt, go to Plugins. press Add, then Add custom MCP server.
open chatgpt plugins
add searchtok
paste these two:
name: searchtok
server url: https://searchtok.app/mcp
leave authentication on OAuth, tick I understand and want to continue, then press Create as a plugin.
sign in and allow
chatgpt opens searchtok. sign in, then press allow.
@ it and ask
in a new chat, type @ and pick searchtok, then ask:
first question: what's working for pilates instructors right now?

i don't see add custom mcp server: it's in chatgpt on the web, not the phone app. on a business workspace, only admins and owners can add one.
chatgpt says searchtok needs a plan: searchtok runs on credits. pick a plan at searchtok.app/app/billing, then ask again.
chatgpt answers without searchtok: you pick a plugin per message: type @, pick searchtok, then ask. @ it again when a new question needs fresh results.
the sign-in window closed: go back to Plugins, open searchtok and sign in again.
it worked before, now it asks me to sign in: a connection stays signed in while you use it and sleeps after 30 days without a call. sign in again from Plugins.
