you'll need
- cursor installed. [PLANS: not on cursor's mcp page]
- a searchtok plan. you pick one when you sign in.

make a key
make a searchtok api key. it's shown once, so keep this page open.
add searchtok to cursor
open ~/.cursor/mcp.json (make the file if it isn't there) and paste this, with your key in it:

save the file.
ask
in cursor's agent chat, ask:
first question: what's working for pilates instructors right now?

- cursor doesn't use searchtok
- check searchtok is switched on in Customize in the sidebar. saying "use searchtok" in the question helps too.
- it says the key is wrong
- check the whole key is pasted after "Bearer ", with no spaces at the end. or make a new one here.
- searchtok needs a plan
- pick a plan at searchtok.app/app/billing, then ask again.
- i only want it in one project
- put the same json in .cursor/mcp.json inside that project instead.
- the file isn't valid json
- paste the line above as the whole file. if you already have servers, add the searchtok part inside your mcpServers.
